TWINS!

My favorite father-in-law came over to the house this afternoon and gifted us with TWINS! Jeff had fashioned with his very own hands two perfect flower boxes for our front porch.

What was even better was that he installed them!...

We had to make a trip to our local big box home store (rhymes with Dome Hepot) to find something to put in them. We bought “Cora Cascade Lilac trailing Vinca”...(ours doesn’t quite look like this now, but hopefully soon)...

This is what our new planter boxes look like fully installed and planted...

We made it nineteen months...

Caleb is now 19 months old. He is on the slippery slope to 2 years old. Do you think 19 months is too young to mow the yard?

Enjoy Caleb's 19 month picture...

Remembering Caleb...

It has been a long time since I posted a “real” post on the blog. I thought I would upload this short post to try and remember what my son was like. Caleb has been at my parents for the past week and will not be back for another two days and I am beginning to forget.

If my memory serves, I think Caleb looks a lot like me. I think Caleb and I have a lot of the same facial features, as you can tell from the picture below…

His good looks he gets from me; his moodiness he gets from his mother. One minute he looks like this…

The next minute he looks like this…

I also remember Caleb as being a good helper. Even as young as 18 months, Caleb helps mommy and daddy with the yard work. If only he could push the lawn mower, then he could do it all.

Caleb sometimes can be a big baby. He wouldn't even get up on the roof and help Allison sweep off the leaves.

I sure wish he would hurry back and come home. Our house is too quiet.
