Newest addition to and removal from our family

This past week has been full of changes in our household. Caleb spent a week with his Grandparents in East Texas, so to fill the void in our lives, Allison and I went last Saturday to pick out the newest addition to our family.

We bought a new tree for our front yard!

Below are a few pictures of our new tree in its new home. I think it is going to be very happy in the hood…

Since the hood and our yard is evidently not big enough for two trees, my wife (the lumberjack) decided it was time that the sad excuse of a tree on the side of our front yard had struggled on enough. She and our neighbor cut that poor defenseless tree down! I came in from work and there was the sad little tree piled up at the curb, with nothing but a pathetic little stump remaining. Thankfully, the neighbors took pictures to document this travesty.

This is a picture of the tree before its untimely demise…

Skeeter (our neighbor) came over to observe "last rites" for the tree...
